Lions lead over Montclair State at halftime

The College of New Jersey’s football is winless on the season (0-5). However, on homecoming, they’re showing a lot of fight in front of family, friends, and alumni.

After a punting contest to begin the game, the Lions offense got on the board following a Montclair State Red Hawks (3-3) fumble. Brian Nagy connected on a 25-yard field goal for the 3-0 lead.

Then, on another drive, Michael Marchesano threw a pass, which was deflected into the airs of Nick Craig. The 27-yard touchdown put the home team up 10-0.

However, late in the second quarter, Red Hawks back Denzel Nieves scored on a five-yard touchdown to cut the lead to 10-7.
