The Philadelphia Flyers announced that winger Michael Raffl is doing better. On Saturday night, he collapsed on the team’s bench.
The Flyers won the game 3-2 in a shootout against the New York Rangers. But they received even better news when the team had an update on their injured player.

He needed to be helped to the team’s locker room during the second period. He took an inadvertent elbow from Rangers’ Jarrett Stoll.

The team was calling his injury an “upper-body injury.”
General manager Ron Hextall said that Raffl did not have to go to the hospital. He added that his condition improved so there was no need to go.
The young player may need to miss time from this. If he does, it’s not clear how many games he’ll have to miss.
Captain Claude Giroux said it was a scary situation.
While the Flyers say that Raffl is doing better, it is not clear at press time if he will have to miss time. Right now, we are not sure if he would be considered day-to-day or week-to-week.

If he misses time, the Flyers are at home the next two games. They play the Buffalo Sabres on October 27th.
Two days later, the Flyers host the New Jersey Devils. After that, the team goes on a multi-game trip that includes a stop in Buffalo, New York, before four games with the Canadian teams.
