Brandon Boykin, the Pittsburgh Steelers cornerback, criticized head coach Chip Kelly upon leaving the Philadelphia Eagles. However, if he doesn’t see much time, he may criticize his new head coach Mike Tomlin.
The Eagles will get the draft pick depending on his playing time. Well, that hasn’t been much, as he has only been in just 23 defensive snaps so far.
However, that may be changing as slot corner William Gay is expected to miss the game this weekend with a shoulder injury. He’ll move into cover the slot guy at least for Sunday’s contest.
He was buried on the team’s depth chart after the team traded a fifth-round pick to the Birds for him. The 25-year-old has just four tackles and a pass deflection while he’s been in the game.
Since he’s not getting a lot of time, he may elect to leave the Steelers once he becomes a free agent in March 2016.
