Philadelphia – In a game that many predicted would be a blowout, the Temple Owls are holding their own, especially in the first half. At halftime, the Notre Dame Fighting Irish leads the Owls 14-10.

DeShone Kizer broke loose for a 79-yard touchdown to put the Fighting Irish up 14-10. His rush was the most rushing yards that the Owls have given up all season.

The Owls went up 10-7 when junior quarterback P.J. Walker hit wide receiver Brandon Shippen for a 12-yard touchdown.

They cut the lead to 7-3 when kicker Austin Jones made a 41-yard kick. It was a career-long for him.

Kizer also scored the Irish’s other touchdown when he scored on a 4-yard run.

While Kizer has had the two touchdown, he’s also had two key interceptions down in between the Owls 30-yard line. Prince Martin-Oguike and Tyler Matakevich had the game-saving picks.
