At noon, the Middle Tennessee State Blue Raiders and the Western Michigan Broncos will kick off in the second annual Popeyes Bahamas Bowl from Thomas Robinson Stadium in Nassau, Bahamas. Both teams come into this game with 7-5 records.

This match-up also featured two of the most prolific offenses in the FBS. They also finished second in their respective conferences.

The Broncos come into this game with a 3-3 road record. The Blue Raiders were 3-4 on the road with three of the four losses to the Alabama Crimson Tide, Illinois Fighting Illini and the Memphis Tigers.

According to our simulation, the Blue Raiders will win this game 41-31.

They dominated time of possession with 34:02 while the Broncos had 25:58. Middle Tennessee State had 582 total offense while Western Michigan had 453.

Broncos quarterback Zach Terrell went 20-of-32 for 264 yards with two touchdowns and an interception. His counterpart Brent Stockstill went 27-of-39 for 386 yards and five touchdowns.

The Blue Raiders had 75 rushing yards by Shane Tucker. Jordan Parker had 63-yards and Stockstill added three-yards. Desmond Anderson had a yard.

Ed’Marques Batties had 138 receiving yards with a touchdown. Richie James had 81-yards and two touchdown. Terry Pottis had 60-yards and a touchdown. Jordan Parker added 27-yards.

Christian Collins had 23-yards and a touchdown, while Sean Smith also had 23-yards. Rod Ducksworth had 20-yards and Demetrius Frazier added 14-yards.

The Broncos were led in rushing by Jarvian Franklin with 97-yards and two touchdowns. Jamauri Bogan had 89-yards, while LeVante Bellamy added six-yards. Terrell had -3-yards.

Michael Henry had 88-yards, while Daniel Braverman had 67-yards and a touchdown. Corey Davis added 62-yards and another touchdown.

Franklin had 24-yards and Kendrick Roberts had a catch for 23-yards.

Braverman had a 3-yard touchdown to cut the lead to 41-34. The Blue Raiders saw James scored a 15-yard touchdown to make it 41-24.

Davis had a 7-yard touchdown to make it 34-24 at the beginning of the fourth quarter.

Batties caught a one-yard reception to give the Blue Raiders a 34-17 lead at the end of the third. The Broncos made it 27-17 when Andrew Haldeman kicked a 26-yard field goal.

Collins scored an 11-yard touchdown for the Blue Raiders for the 27-14 lead.

Middle Tennessee State had a 37-yard field goal in the second by Cody Clark to make it 20-7. Franklin scored on a 31-yard run to make it 20-14 with 48 seconds remaining in the first half.

Franklin scored on a 5-yard run to give Western Michigan an early lead at 10:32 in the first quarter. The Blue Raiders then scored 17 unanswered points.

Petrie caught a 13-yard reception and James had a two-yard reception, as well. Clark also kicked a 37-yard field goal.
