More bad news for the NFL, as New York Giants defensive tackle Jay Bromley is allegedly being investigated for an attempted rape of a woman this morning at a New York hotel. Authorities in Fort Worth, Texas is investigating Cleveland Browns quarterback Johnny Manziel in a dispute with his girlfriend on Saturday morning.

Like the Manziel case, the investigation is just beginning. According to the New York Daily News, he’s not been charged.

“We are investigating a possible assault,” a police source told reporters.

The 23-year-old reportedly met the woman online and the two agreed to meet this morning shortly after 6 am. The two agreed to meet at the Hyatt Herald Square Hotel in Midtown, according to the Daily News.

He reportedly struck the woman in his car, according to the Daily News, before leaving the hotel afterwards.

“We are aware of the situation and will continue to monitor it,” Giants spokesman Pat Hanlon said. “We have notified the league office per the league’s protocol. We will have no further comment as we understand this is an ongoing investigation.”

He was the Giants third round pick in the 2014 NFL Draft after playing collegiate with the Syracuse Orange. He played in just four games this past season — and had 19 tackles and 17 assists in those games.
