A day after saying they wouldn’t charge soon-to-be former Cleveland Browns quarterback Johnny Manziel, he’s now subject to a Dallas Police Department investigation. This new report comes a few hours after his ex-girlfriend Colleen Crowley filed a protective order against him.

The change of mind is because they now say that Crowley is cooperating with the authorities. She must not have cooperated with them at first.

Crowley reportedly filed a complaint against him today. The authorities did not reveal what the details of the complaint are.

However, the police department said to TMZ Sports that they will investigate thoroughly to see if criminal charges could be filed against the troubled quarterback.

It’s reportedly about the incident that happened between the two last weekend in Fort Worth. Crowley is a student at Texas Christian University (TCU), where they were going after Manziel threatened to kill her and himself, according to the police report.

According to the Dallas Police Department press release, it’s not uncommon for domestic violence victims to delay reporting an assault.

A week ago tonight, the reportedly domestic violence incident took place and led into Saturday morning. He also reportedly punched her, pulled her hair and drug her by her hair during the incident, which led Crowley to believe that he snapped or was on drugs.

Initially, the Fort Worth police reportedly took a report from Crowley. However, she did not want any photos taken as she was uncooperative with the responding officers, who were at the scene.
