Soon-to-be former Cleveland Browns quarterback Johnny Manziel’s agent has had enough and decided to part ways with him. This news comes less than a day after a horrifying account by Manziel’s ex-girlfriend Colleen Crowley in a police report last weekend.

Erik Burkhardt was his agent, before releasing a statement this morning about parting ways with him. Now, if he gets another shot in the NFL with his troubling past, he’ll have to do it within another agent.

“It is with deep regret that, after several emotional and very personal discussions with his family, his doctors and my client himself, I have made the decision to terminate my professional relationship with Johnny Manziel,” Burkhardt said in a statement.

“Though I will remain a friend and Johnny supporter, and he knows I have worked tirelessly to arrange a number of professional options for him to continue to pursue, it has become painfully obvious that his future rests solely in his own hands. His family and I have gone to great lengths to outline the steps we feel he must take to get his life in order. Accountability is the foundation of any relationship, and without it, the function of my work is counterproductive.”

According to the horrifying account by Crowley that WFAA released in an exclusive, Manziel said “shut up or I’ll kill us both” when he was forcing her into a car, before hitting her and dragging her by her hair.

Manziel, like he always does, denies that he done anything wrong. But his lies have hurt him in the past, especially with the Browns, so it’s only a matter of time before things come and hurt him in real life for his immature actions.

He’s immature and is like Ryan Mallett, who needed several changes of scenery before he was able to wake up and get it.

“We’ve been clear about expectations for our players on and off the field,” Sashi Brown, the Browns Executive VP of Football Operations, said in a statement on Tuesday.

“Johnny’s continual involvement in incidents that run counter to those expectations undermines the hard work of his teammates and the reputation of our organization,” the statement continued. “His status with our team will be addressed when permitted by league rules. We will have no further comment at this time.”

According to Crowley in the documents, she’s afraid of his safety and has drafted an order of protection against Manziel, according to WFAA, that will be presented to Tarrant County District Court judge.

They were dating for two years and lived together for four months, before breaking up in December, according to WFAA sources.

The Jan. 30th incident reportedly began when the two were argued over another girl in Manziel’s hotel room. She told police that she tried to leave the room, but he wouldn’t let her.

She also told the police that he was restrained, but led her down a back stairway to the valet area. At which time, she begged the valet person not to let her go with the abusive Manziel.

“I was crying and begging the valet, ‘Please don’t let him take me. I’m scared for my life!” she told police. The valet, according to the police report, told Crowley, ‘I don’t know what to do’ before letting her leave with Manziel.

He then drove her to Concrete Cowboy Bar, which is off of Cedar Springs Road. Crowley said in the police report that she hid from Manziel, before he found her in the bushes.

“He grabbed me by my hair and threw me back into the car and got back in himself,” she told the police. “He hit me with his open hand on my left ear for jumping out of the car. I realized immediately that I could not hear out of that ear, and I still cannot today, two days later.”

Also, she claimed that while they were going back to her apartment in Fort Worth, he hit her several times and, according to the report, he “threw me off of him” and she hit her head on the car window.

She also told police that he wouldn’t allow her to have her phone.

According to the WFAA exclusive, he then got on Interstate 30 when she said “I hate you!” Also, he reportedly replied “he was going to drop me off, take my car and go kill himself.”

She said in the police report that she thought he was on drugs, or may have been on a psychotic break.
