According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, Seattle Seahawks running back Marshawn Lynch intends to retire. At this time, though, it is not confirmed when Lynch will step away from the game.
Lynch has been a running back in the NFL since the 2007 season. He has played for two teams in his career, as he also played for the Buffalo Bills.

The Bills traded Lynch to the Seahawks in October 2010. Since then, he has transformed into his alter ego called “Beast Mode.”

This past season, Lynch appeared in seven games. He made six starts. He was limited as he had sports hernia surgery in November.
He had 111 carries for 417 yards and three touchdowns. Lynch also had 13 receptions for 80 yards.
If this is the end of Lynch’s career for good, he appeared in 127 games in the NFL. This included 114 starts in the league.

He had 2,144 carries for 9,112 yards with the Bills and Seahawks. He also had 74 touchdowns.
Lynch had 252 receptions for 1,979 yards and nine touchdowns.
The Seahawks already have a replacement for Lynch in Thomas Rawls, who may get the starting nod in 2016.
