Does San Francisco 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick known where he wants to play? According to him, he has flip-flopped his destination now.
Kaepernick has reportedly wants to play for the Cleveland Browns now. He may be the only player, who wants to play for Hue Jackson, as a lot of their free agents have already left town.
He has been linked to the Browns. However, they’ve reportedly only offered a fourth-round draft pick for him, according to reports.
However, the 49ers reportedly want a second-round pick for Kaepernick if they move away from him. They also have the seventh overall pick, which they would reportedly like to draft Jared Goff.
Earlier this off-season, he came out and said the would like to play for the New York Jets. With these mentions of other teams, it’s clear that he doesn’t want to play for new head coach Chip Kelly no matter how much Kelly is in love with Kaepernick’s play.
His girlfriend lives in New York City and reportedly wants to be closer to her. Long-distance relationships do not work, and that’s why he wants out of San Francisco.
On Wednesday and Thursday, it has been reported that the Denver Broncos called the 49ers about Kaepernick. The Broncos want him to replace the now retired Peyton Manning and recently departed Brock Osweiler, who took the money and ran to the Houston Texans.
Osweiler said that he didn’t want to live under the pressure of replacing a living legend in Manning. If Kaepernick goes there, he’ll have to do that.
The Broncos have only offered a third-round pick for Kaepernick’s services.
Last season, he started eight out of the nine games he appeared in before being benched by former head coach Jim Tomsula in favor of Blaine Gabbert. Kaepernick was 2-6 with the 49ers last season.
Kaepernick went 144-of-244 for 1,615 yards with six touchdowns. He also threw five interceptions and was sacked 28 times.
In 2015, it was his worst record with the 49ers as a starter. As a starter before last season, he went 25-14, including taking the 49ers to the Super Bowl against the Baltimore Ravens several years ago.
One has to question his stats since a lot of 49ers did not want to play for Tomsula after he forced his way into the picture of replacing Jim Harbaugh, before he took over the Michigan Wolverines program.
