“Devastating news about my teammate Tra Walker,” newly signed safety Eric Weddle wrote on Twitter, who recently signed a four-year $26 million deal with the team. “Wish I could of shared the field with u this year. We will make u proud!”

Walker was the Ravens fourth-round draft pick in the 2015 NFL Draft. He played collegiate football with the Texas Southern Tigers.

He was involved in the crash at Northwest 21st Ave. and Northwest 75th St., according to NBC Miami. Upon being injured, he was transported to Jackson Memorial Hospital in Miami.

Walker played mostly on special teams in the eight games that he appeared in. He had a tackle, as well.

“Oh my God,” Ravens head coach John Harbaugh said last night. “This is devastating news. Our prayers and hopes are with Tray and his family.”

Walker was a native of Miami, and the authorities were reportedly looking for an unknown New England Patriots player, who may have been with Walker when he crashed. It’s unknown if they found the Patriots player since they haven’t released the players’ name.

He went to Miami Northwestern High School and played high school football for the Bulls. In Miami, this school is commonly known as Northwestern High School.

While there, he was teammates with Teddy Bridgewater, whose now the Minnesota Vikings quarterback, and Amari Cooper, whose now the Oakland Raiders wide receiver.

He’s the latest athlete, who was involved in a motorcycle accident. There was early speculation that Walker was riding a dirt bike at the time of the crash.

The list of athletes, whose been involved in motorcycle accidents include Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger and former Chicago Bulls point guard Jay Williams — which this accident cost him his National Basketball Association career.
