One shot can change your life forever. Just ask Kris Jenkins.
He made the game-winning three-point basket, as the Villanova Wildcats defeated the North Carolina Tar Heels on Monday night. The Wildcats won 77-74 over the Tar Heels at NRG Stadium in Houston, Texas, to become the national champions.

The Wildcats ended their season with a 35-5 record. The Tar Heels ended their season with a 33-7 mark.

According to the game stats, Villanova led for 18 minutes and 54 seconds. North Carolina led for 14 minutes and three seconds. The game was tied for seven minutes and three seconds.
Marcus Paige tied the game with a three-point basket with five seconds left. Following a timeout, that’s when the heroics happened.
Jay Wright subbed in for Phil Booth and took out Mikal Bridges. The Wildcats bring up the ball and Ryan Arcidiacono gets the ball. He then passed to Kris Jenkins, who shot the ball and made the game-winner.
“Kris told him he was going to be open, Arch made the perfect pass,” Villanova coach Jay Wright explained. “Kris lives for that moment.”
Jenkins said he had supreme confidence in the shot.
“I think every shot’s going in,” he said, “and this one was no different.”
Phil Booth led the Wildcats with 20 points. He also had two rebounds, one block, and one steal.
Booth was one of four Villanova players, who scored in double digits. The other three were starters.
Ryan Arcidiacono had 16 points. Jenkins had 14 and Josh Hart had 12.
The Wildcats had 22 bench points. Booth led the bench with his aforementioned 20 points.
Marcus Paige led the Tar Heels with 21 points. He also had five rebounds, six assists, and one steal.

Paige was one of three Tar Heels, who scored in double figures. Joel Berry II had 20 points and Brice Johnson had 14.
North Carolina had six bench points. Isaiah Hicks led the bench with four points.
“I’m not very good because I can’t take away the hurt,” Williams said. “I told them I loved them. I told them I wish I could have helped them more.”
