Devils acquire Beau Bennett from the Penguins

The New Jersey Devils have acquired forward Beau Bennett from the Pittsburgh Penguins. In exchange for a third-round pick, 77th overall, which was used to select Connor Hall.

During the 2015-16 season, Bennett had six goals and six assists for 12 points in 33 games. He also had 10 penalty minutes.

In the playoffs, he appeared in one game.

He split parts of three seasons with the Wilkes-Barre Penguins in the American Hockey League and the Penguins. He has appeared in a 129 NHL games, where he had 16 goals and 29 assists for 45 points.

Bennett has appeared in 21 Stanley Cup playoff games, where he scored two goals and four assists. He also had eight penalty minutes.

He was the Penguins 20th overall pick in the 2010 NHL Draft.
