This move makes the Warriors the favorite to win the NBA Championship next season. They will be tough to beat with this star-studded lineup.
Durant is being criticized by the fans for joining the Warriors. But he may think that they are the best option for him to be able to win a championship.
He is joining a Warriors team that went 73-9 during the 2015-16 season. Their 73 wins surpassed a mark previously held by the Chicago Bulls.
The Warriors led the league during the 2015-16 season with 114.9 points per game.
Curry, the league’s reigning MVP, led the Warriors this past season with 30.1 points per game. Thompson was second with 22.1 points per game.
Durant averaged 28.2 points per game in his final season with the Thunder. He spent the first nine years of his career with the Seattle SuperSonics/Thunder organization before leaving.

He also averaged 8.2 rebounds, 5.0 assists, 1.0 steals, and 1.2 blocks per game.
When Durant made the move, the Thunder fans were not happy with him going to their rival. This is going to make interesting TV with the Warriors and Thunder playing each other as long as he is a part of this new franchise.
These most likely will be national television matchups.
