According to media reports, Minnesota Vikings quarterback Teddy Bridgewater suffered a significant injury. It’s reportedly a torn ACL.

Head coach Mike Zimmer hasn’t confirmed the torn ACL report. He would only say it’s a significant knee injury and that he’s still in the hospital.

According to ESPN‘s Adam Schefter, it doesn’t look good. Plus, he says, Zimmer said “it doesn’t look good for Bridgewater to play this season.”

After Bridgewater went down with his injury, the Vikings canceled practice. With Bridgewater likely out, his back-up Shaun Hill will likely be named the starter.

They’ll also look to add quarterback depth, as well. They’ll look for options via a trade, but they could also wait until this weekend when the final cuts are in on Sat.

Hill, who signed with the Vikings in March 2015, hasn’t started more than 10 games in a season. In addition, as a starter, he’s never made it to the postseason.

His best record was 5-3 with the San Francisco 49ers in 2008.
