According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, it’s “definitely possible” that the Baltimore Ravens re-sign free agent running back Justin Forsett. ESPN’s Ravens reporter Jamison Hensley said a similar tone.
The Ravens may have just cut him because he was their only running back, who was subject to waivers. If you have under four-years experience, you are subject to waivers.

While the Ravens may be interested in keeping him around, other teams may be calling him. It’s a gamble that they took.
He’s been the Ravens starting running back the past two seasons ever since Ray Rice was suspended for domestic violence, before his indefinite suspension. He’s started 26 games for the team over the past two seasons.
He suffered a season-ending injury that caused him to miss the final six games of the season. He suffered his injury in the game that Joe Flacco suffered a season-ending injury, as well.
With the Ravens, he’s had 386 carries for 1,907 with 10 touchdowns. He’s also had seven 100-yard rushing games.
He’s also had 75 receptions for 416 yards.
