The San Francisco 49ers wasted no time with fullback/tight end Bruce Miller as he received the pink slip. He’ll now try to find employment elsewhere — if a team will give him another shot.

He was released after allegedly punching a 70-year-old man in the face. The man also reportedly suffered broken bones in his face, as well.

He got into the incident after he mistakenly went to the wrong room. Those in the room of the San Francisco-area hotel.

According to KTVU.com, he tried to get a room at the Fisherman’s Wharf Marriott Hotel on Sunday night. At that time, he was told it was full.

However, it’s not clear what made Miller return to the hotel. After the incident, he ran away but was apprehended and arrested for assault.

The former seventh-round pick was a five-year National Football League veteran. He’s only missed three games in his NFL career and has 76 receptions, including 10 last year for a 135 yards. He also has 28 career carries.
