The Tennessee Titans have signed wide receiver Marc Mariani. He returns to the team, who drafted him, with this move.

The Titans drafted him with a seventh-round pick in the 2010 NFL Draft. He also spent the first four-years of his career in Tennessee; however, he only played the first two seasons there.

He was released by the Chicago Bears on Sat. during the NFL’s mandated 53-man roster cuts day. In a corresponding move to add Mariani, the team released Tre McBride.

McBride was supposed to be the team’s primary kick returner this season, before his exit.

As a rookie in 2010, he had 1,530 kick return yards in a season. He also had 61 kickoff returns, which was another record.

He went to the 2011 Pro Bowl, where he set two additional records. He had 326 kickoff return yards, which is the most in a game. He also had nine returns in a game.

In his four-year career, he had 27 receptions for 324-yards. He also had a rush in 2011 for four-yards.

He’s had a fumble problem in his career. He fumbled seven times and lost three of them.

This preseason, he had two receptions for 11-yards.
