Orlando Bradford arrested; kicked off the Arizona Wildcats football team

The Arizona Wildcats have dismissed Orlando Bradford. He was arrested on Wednesday in relation to seven felonies on domestic violence charges. The Tucson News Now is reporting that he’s facing three counts of domestic violence kidnapping.

The other four counts are domestic violence aggravated assault. The 20-year-old is currently in Pima County Jail without a bond.

At the time of publication, it is unclear how long he will face behind bars. Due to the severity of the crimes alleged against him, he could face several years in jail should he be convicted of all the charges against him.

Right now, though, he is innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

The incident allegedly took place over several days. It also allegedly involves the same woman.

According to Sports Reference, Bradford appeared in two games with the Wildcats this season. He has had five carries for 16 yards.

In the past two seasons, he has appeared in nine games. He has had 52 carries for 224 yards and three touchdowns.

“Earlier today we were made aware that Orlando Bradford had been arrested,” Arizona coach Rich Rodriguez said in a statement. “As a result of his actions, he has been dismissed from the program.”
