Alabama starting running back Damien Harris was injured against the Kent State Golden Flashes. On his fourth carry of the game, his leg bent awkwardly.

Harris couldn’t put any weight on his leg as he was trying to leave the field. He had to be carted to the sideline, then to the team’s locker room.

The Crimson Tide Sports Network, the Alabama radio network, said that Harris would not return in the game. He had four carries for 18 yards.

He was replaced in the game by freshman Joshua Jacobs in the backfield.

Prior to the Kent State game, Harris had 327 yards on 36 carries. Last week against the Ole Miss Rebels, he scored his first touchdown of the season.
