The LSU Tigers have fired head coach Les Miles. Ed Oregeron takes over the team on an interim basis.
On Saturday, the team had a late touchdown overturned before losing to the Auburn Tigers. They stand at 2-2 on the season.
Also fired was offensive coordinator Cam Cameron.
The Tigers administration were not playing around with Miles. Before the final regular season contest, there was speculation he was going to be fired.
Then, as it looked like he was going to be let go, the Tigers administration change course at halftime and then decide to keep him and re-sign him to an e tension.
The Chancellor said that he was going to be the coach for a “long-time” but that lasted only into four games this season. There was speculation that whoever lost in that Auburn vs. LSU on Saturday, their head coach would be in trouble — not necessarily fired, just trouble.
But the Tigers decided that they needed a new voice with the team moving forward.
