MOHNTON, PA — Matco Tools/U.S. Army Top Fuel dragster pilot Antron Brown has been the nemesis to Monster Energy Top Fuel dragster pilot Brittany Force. Brown is now 4-1 against Force in final rounds and 8-2 overall.

Brown went 3.721 at 317.34 mph for the hole shot win to pick up the Dodge NHRA Nationals Wally at Maple Grove Raceway. Force went 3.721 at 324.67 mph.

Brown, who was sporting a pink dragster for Breast Cancer Awareness month, had the early advantage off of the startling time. He won by approximately 19 inches, or 0.0033 seconds.

This is Brown’s sixth win of the season and his 44th Top Fuel win of his career — and the 60th of his career. It’s also his second Countdown to the Championship win.

“St. Louis didn’t turn out the way we wanted it to, and there’s still plenty of time left in this championship race,” Brown said. “There’s three more races left and we’re going to have to fight hard. Ain’t nobody going to give you the championship.”

Brown is looking for his third Top Fuel Championship of his career. He leads Doug Kalitta by 77 points (2,377 to 2,300) as he attempts to win back-to-back championships.

Force is third in the points picture, where she has 2,259 points. Don Schumacher Racing teammates Shawn Langdon and Tony Schumacher are fourth and fifth respectively. Langdon has 2,258, while Schumacher has 2,236 points.
