Simulation: Hill scores late TD to give the Bengals a win over the Patriots

According to our whatifsports.com simulation, the Cincinnati Bengals defeats the New England Patriots at Gillette Stadium. The Bengals won 24-20 over the Patriots.

The Bengals had 342 total yards in 28 minutes and 45 seconds in time of possession. The Patriots had 382 yards in 31 minutes and 15 seconds.

Patriots quarterback Tom Brady went 18 of 25 for 224 yards.

LeGarrette Blount had 16 carries for a 108 yards and two touchdowns. James white had eight carries for 55 yards, while Brandon Bolden had three carries for four yards.

Chris Hogan had four receptions for 69 yards, while Rob Gronkowski had two receptions for 53 yards. Julian Edelman had six receptions for 49 yards. Danny Amendola had four receptions for 27 yards, while Malcolm Mitchell had a catch for 17 yards. White had a catch for nine yards.

Bengals quarterback Andy Dalton went 13 of 18 for a 182 yards and a touchdown.

Jeremy Hill had 16 carries for a 117 yards and a touchdown. Giovani Bernard had 16 carries for 63 yards and a touchdown. Rex Burkhead had a carry for a yard.

A.J. Green had five receptions for 83 yards, while Bernard had two receptions for 52 yards. Brandon LaFell had a catch for 15 yards and C.J. Uzomah had a catch for 11 yards.

Hill had a catch for 10 yards, while Tyler Boyd had a catch for six yards. Burkhead had a catch for five yards.

DeShawn Williams had four tackles and a sack for the Bengals, while Domata Peko also had four tackles. Clayton Fejedeiem, Will Clarke and George Iloka also had three tackles.

Brandon King had four tackles and a sack for the Patriots, while Alan Branch also had four tackles. Jonathan Jones, Elandon Roberts, Duron Harmon, Barkevious Mingo and Dont’a Hightower had three tackles each.

The Bengals had two second half touchdowns. Boyd caught a six-yard touchdown as time expired in the third. With 4:17 left in the game, Hill scored on an eight-yard touchdown.

The Patriots could only score a field goal in the second half. Gostkowski made a 49-yard field goal.

The Patriots led 17-10 at halftime. Blount had two second quarter touchdowns and Stephen Gostkowski made a 44 yard field goal in the first quarter.

Bernard had a nine-yard run, while Mike Nugent made a 42-yard field goal.
