Simulation: Lions roll over the Redskins with a big first half

According to our simulation, the Detroit Lions defeat the Washington Redskins. The Lions win 44-20 over the Redskins.

The Redskins had 338 total yards in 27 minutes and 43 seconds in time of possession. The Lions had 342 total yards in 32 minutes and 17 seconds.

Lions quarterback Matthew Stafford went 18 of 22 for 214 yards with two touchdowns.

Justin Forsett had 14 carries for 75 yards and two touchdowns. Zach Zenner had 12 carries for 61 yards, while Stafford had two carries for eight yards. Michael Burton had three carries for four yards.

Marvin Jones Jr. had five receptions for a 114 yards, while Golden State had four receptions for 36 yards and Eric Ebron had four receptions for 35 yards. Anquan Boldin had three receptions for 19 yards, while Andre Roberts had a catch for eight yards. Forsett also had a catch for two yards.

Redskins quarterback Kirk Cousins went 19 of 36 for 243 yards and a touchdown.

Matt Jones had 16 carries for 60 yards and a touchdown. Chris Thompson had six carries for 35 yards and Rob Kelley had five carries for nine yards.

Vernon Davis had three receptions for 61 yards, while Jones had three receptions for 57 yards. DeSean Jackson had four receptions for 42 yards and a touchdown. Pierre Garcon had four receptions for 39 yards, while Jamison Crowder had three receptions for 26 yards.

Ryan Grant had a catch for 11 yards and Chris Thompson had a catch for seven yards.

Will Compton led the Redskins with four tackles, while Ricky Jean Francois and Will Blackmon had three tackles each. Blackmon, Ziggy Hood and Deshazor Everett had three sacks each.

Tahir Whitehead led the Lions with five tackles and a sack. Armonty Bryant, Miles Killebrew, Quandre Diggs and Glover Quin had three tackles. Whitehead and Thurston Armbrister had a sack.

Roberts caught an eight-yard reception for the Lions to go up 37-6. Forsett also had a 25-yard rushing touchdown.

Jackson had a 13-yard touchdown and Jones added a 25 yard rushing touchdown, also in the fourth quarter. Hopkins booted a 31-yard field goal in the third, as well.

The Lions led 30-3 at halftime. It was 21-0 before Dustin Hopkins made a 30-yard field goal to cut the lead to 20-3. Then, Matt Prater made three field goals.
