While Denver Broncos running back C.J. Anderson says he’s not done for the year, media reports say he is done. According to
NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport, the running back told people close to him that he’s done for the season.
Anderson even deleted tweets he made.
Through seven games, all starts, Anderson had 110 carries for 437 yards with four touchdowns. The four touchdowns are the fewest that he’ll end the season with.
The seven games are the fewest amount of games since his rookie season in 2013 when he only played in five games.
The past two seasons, he had 1,569 yards combined. In his career, througgh 42 games and 19 starts, he had carried the ball 448 times for 2,044 yards and 17 touchdowns.
The Broncos are expected to rely heavily on Devontae Booker, who they drafted in the fourth-round of the 2016 NFL Draft. This season, Booker had 244 yards on 51 carries and a touchdown.
The Broncos also have Kapri Bibbs on their running back depth chart. The 23-year-old onl has 21 yards this season on four carries.
