EWING — The College of New Jersey football team may get their first win of the season. They’re currently 0-7 on the season under interim head coach Rocky Hager, but they’re leading the 2-5 William Paterson Pioneers at halftime.
If they’re able to hold onto this win, it’ll be their first win since defeated the Rowan Profs to end last season. They’re looking to win for the second straight year on Homecoming, as they defeated Montclair State in front of Alumni and friends.
With six seconds left in the first half, Lions quarterback Trevor Osler scored on a two-yard rushing touchdown. Following a Brian Nagy kick, the Lions led 21-7.

Anthony DiMarscio had a one-handed catch that turned into a 57-yard touchdown for the Pioneers, as William Paterson cut the lead to 14-7.
Chad Scott put the Lions up two touchdowns when he scored on a three-yard rushing score. Then, a few minutes into the second quarter, Shane Kelley had a pick six.
Kelley intercepted James Waldron, the Pioneers quarterback, and returned it 27-yards for the 7-0 lead.
