Preview: #17 North Carolina @ Duke

On Thursday night, #17 North Carolina Tar Heels face the Duke Blue Devils. The Heels come into this game with a 7-2 record, while the Blue Devils are 3-6.

North Carolina is 4-0 on the road this season. Duke is 2-3 at home at Wallace Wade Stadium. This game will be broadcasted on ESPN at 7:30 pm.

The Tar Heels have won the past two games in this series. Duke hasn’t won in this series since Nov. 30, 2013 when they won 27-25.

In the past 10 games in this series, North Carolina has won eight times. Besides the 2013 win for Duke, they also won on Oct. 20, 2012 when they won 33-30.

North Carolina has a three-game win streak. During this win streak, they have beaten the Miami (Fla.) Hurricanes, Virginia Cavaliers and the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets.

The Tar Heels haven’t lost a game since Oct. 8 when the Virginia Tech Hokies defeated them 34-3 on ESPN.

Duke has lost their past three games. They were defeated by the Hokies, Yellow Jackets and the Louisville Cardinals.

The Blue Devils haven’t won a game since Oct. 8 when they defeated the Army Black Knights 13-6.

The Tar Heels are averaging 34.2 points per game, while the Blue Devils are averaging 24.1.

North Carolina is averaging 459.7 yards per game and are giving up 410.2. Duke is averaging 398.9 yards and are giving up 393.8.

Mitch Trubisky leads the Tar Heels with 2,707 yards. He has 19 touchdowns and two interceptions.

Elijah Wood has 644 rushing yards and eight touchdowns. Ryan Switzer has 728 receiving yards and three touchdowns.

Daniel Jones leads the Blue Devils attack with 2,037 yards. He has 11 touchdowns and nine interceptions.

Jela Duncan has 450 rushing yards and six touchdowns. T.J. Rahming has 409 receiving yards and a touchdown.
