Preview: UL Lafayette @ Georgia Southern

On Thursday night, the UL Lafayette Ragin’ Cajuns face the Georgia Southern Eagles. The Ragin’ Cajuns come into this game with a 3-5 record, while the Eagles are 4-5.

UL Lafayette has a 1-2 road record this season. Georgia Southern has a 2-1 record at home at Paulson Stadium. The game will be broadcasted on ESPNU at 7:30 pm.

This is the first game in the series between these two teams.

UL Lafayette has a one-game losing streak coming into this game. They lost 23-13 to the Idaho Vandals on Nov. 5.

The Ragin’ Cajuns haven’t won since defeating the Texas State Bobcats on Oct. 22 when they won 27-3.

Georgia Southern has a two-game losing streak. They were defeated by the Ole Miss last week in which the Rebels senior quarterback Chad Kelly went out for the season. They also lost to the Appalachian State Mountaineers.

The Eagles haven’t won since defeating the New Mexico State Aggies 22-19 on Oct. 22.

The Ragin’ Cajuns are averaging 22.3 points per game, while the Eagles are averaging 26.8.

UL Lafayette is averaging 362.9 yards per game and they’re giving up 384.1. Georgia Southern is averaging 388.4 yards and are giving up 393.6.

Anthony Jennings leads the Ragin’ Cajuns attack with 1,433 yards. He has nine touchdowns and seven interceptions.

Elijah McGuire has 727 rushing yards and five touchdowns. Al Riles has 432 receiving yards and a touchdown.

Kevin Ellison leads the Eagles attach with 713 passing yards. He has six touchdowns and three interceptions.

Matt Breida has 506 rushing yards and two touchdowns. Myles Campbell has 322 receiving yards and three touchdowns.
