Dallas Cowboys have a problem on their hands. As they look to decide the future of their quarterback situation, they’ll also have to look to make a decision on Randy Gregory.
According to NFL Network’s Mike Garafolo and Ian Rapoport, Gregory has failed another drug test while suspended. He is now facing a one-year suspension by the league.
A couple of weeks ago, it was announced that he would miss the next 14 games. He would be able to return to practice in December.
Now it doesn’t appear like he’ll be able to return at all this year. He may not return in 2017 either with his history.
The Cowboys knew they were taking a gamble on him. Now they have to deal with the consequences of picking him.
Gregory was the 60th overall pick in the 2015 NFL Draft. In 12 games last season, the 23-year-old had seven tackles.
Before this new broke, he was eligible to return to the Cowboys on Dec. 18 against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
