Preview: Boston College @ #18 Florida State

On Friday night, the Boston College Eagles face the #18 Florida State Seminoles. The Eagles come into this game with a 4-5 record, while the Seminoles are 6-3.

The Eagles are 2-1 on the road this season. The Seminoles are 3-2 at Doak Campbell Stadium.

Florida State has won the past six meetings in this series. Boston College hasn’t won since Oct. 3. 2009 when they won 28-21.

The Eagles have been outscored 195-81 in these six games.

In the past 10 games in this series, the Seminoles have won seven times. Besides the 2009 win, they also won 27-17 on Nov. 15, 2008 and 24-16 on Oct. 21, 2006.

The Eagles come into this game with a one-game losing streak. They ran into the Lamar Jackson buzzsaw, as they were beat 52-7.

Boston College hasn’t won a game since defeated the North Carolina State Wolfpack on Oct. 29 when they won 21-14.

The Seminoles defeated the Wolfpack last week. They haven’t lost since losing to #3 Clemson Tigers 37-34 on Oct. 29.

The Eagles are averaging 19.4 points per game. The Seminoles are scoring 33.6 points per contest.

Florida State is averaging 470.6 yards per game. They’re giving up 411.1 on defense.

Boston College is averaging 312.1 yards per contest. They’re giving up 322.6.

Patrick Towles leads the Eagles attack with 1,293 yards. He has eight touchdowns and six interceptions.

Jon Hillman has 432 rushing yards and five touchdowns. Jeff smith has 284 receiving yards and three touchdowns.

Deondre Francois leads the Seminoles with 2,492 yards. He has 12 touchdowns and four interceptions.

Dalvin Cook has 1,134 rushing yards and 12 touchdowns. Travis Rudolph has 599 receiving yards and four touchdowns.
