The Minnesota Vikings have released kicker Blair Walsh. The 26-year-old had spent his entire career with the Vikings.
He was the team’s sixth round draft pick in the 2012 NFL Draft. He’s struggled with his kicks.
Walsh was 12 of 16 on the season. On Sunday against the Washington Redskins in Week 10, he went 2-3 in extra points.
The Vikings brought in kickers last week. However, they decided to keep Walsh until now. The team hasn’t announced who their new kicker will be yet.
He went 1-for-2 in field goals against the Detroit Lions in Week 9. Walsh was also 1-for-2 in extra points in this game, too.
