A day after re-signing Chris Maragos, the Philadelphia Eagles have announced they have re-signed long-snapper Jon Dorenbos. He signed a three-year extension through the 2019 season.
This contract will take Dorenbos to age 39 and the likely final contract of his career. He has been with the Eagles since the 2006 season.
The Texas native previously played for the Buffalo Bills and the Tennessee Titans. He was with the Bills in 2003 and 204, before spending 2005 and 2006 with the Titans.
He made two Pro Bowl appearances while a member of the Eagles. They came in 2009 and 2014.
Dorenbos was also All-NFL First Team by Pro Football Focus in 2014. He has appeared in a 197 games.
Besides appearing on the Eagles, he was also a finalist with America’s Got Talent. He finished in the Top 3.
