Preview: Clemson @ #10 Xavier

On Friday afternoon, the Clemson Tigers face the #10 Xavier Musketeers. The Tigers are 2-0, while the Musketeers are 3-0.

The game will be broadcasted at 1:30 pm on ESPNU from the HP Field House in Orlando, Fla. Both teams are 1-0 in neutral site games.

This will be the first meeting since March 23, 1999 for the teams. It’s their second meeting, as the Tigers won 79-76 in their first meeting.

Clemson comes into this game with a two game win streak. They beat the Davidson Wildcats and the Georgia Bulldogs.

They haven’t lost a game since last season when they lost 88-85 in overtime to the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets on March 9, 2016.

Xavier has a three-game win streak. They have beat the Lehigh Mountain Hawks, Buffalo Bulls and the Missouri Tigers in overtime.

On March 20, 2016, the Wisconsin Badgers beat the Musketeers 66-63.

The Tigers are averaging 84.5 points per game. The Musketeers are scoring 84.4.

Edmond Sumner leads the Musketeers with 18.3 points per game. Rashid Gaston is averaging 6.3 rebounds and J.P. Macura is averaging 4.0 assists per contest.

Avry Holmes leads the Tigers with 16.0 points per game. Donté Grantham is averaging 7.5 rebounds and he is also averaging 3.0 assists per contest.
