Preview: Jacksonville @ Detroit

On Sunday afternoon, the Jacksonville Jaguars face the Detroit Lions. The Jaguars are 2-7, while the Lions are 5-4.

The Jaguars are 1-3 on the road this season. The Lions are 3-1 at Ford Field.

The Lions have won the past three games in this season. One has to go all the way back to Nov. 9, 2008 for a 38-14 Jaguars win.

Detroit win 22-17 over Jacksonville last season. During the three-game win streak, they’ve outscored the Jacksonville 65-43.

These two teams have met seven times and the Lions have won four times. Besides the past three wins, their other win was a 44-0 score on Dec. 17, 1995.

Jacksonville has lost their past four games. The Jags haven’t won since a 17-16 contest over the Chicago Bears on Oct. 16.

The Lions won their last game over the Minnesota Vikings 22-16 on Nov. 6. Their last loss came on Oct. 30 when they lost 20-13 to the Houston Texans.

Jacksonville is averaging 19.3 points per game, while Detroit is averaging 22.8.

The Jaguars are averaging 357.1 yards per game. They’re giving up 339 yards.

The Lions are averaging 350.4 yards per game. They’re giving up 379.1 yards.

Blake Bortles leads the Jaguars attack with 2,421 yards. He has 16 touchdowns and 11 interceptions.

T.J. Yeldon has 285 rushing yards and a touchdown. Allen Robinson has 549 receiving yards and five touchdowns.

Matthew Stafford leads the Lions attack with 2,373 yards. He has 18 touchdowns and five interceptions.

Theo Riddick has 297 rushing yards and a touchdown. Marvin Jones Jr. — who came to the team in the off-season in hopes of replacing the retired Megatron Calvin Johnson — has 661 receiving yards and four touchdowns.
