Texas Longhorns head coach Charlie Strong is expected to be fired. According to reports, he could be fired as soon as Monday.

Strong and the Longhorns lost 24-21 to the Kansas Jayhawks in overtime. It was the first-time Kansas beat Texas since 1938.

“There are rumors out there about the status of Coach Strong,” athletic director Mike Perrin said. “I’ve said it all along, we will evaluate the body of work after the regular season. We have a game to get ready for against TCU on Friday, and I hope our fans will come out and support our team. We’ll discuss where things stand after that.”

Perrin did not hire Strong, as that was former AD Steve Patterson. The Longhorns are 5-6 this season.
