Preview: Ball State @ Miami (Ohio)

On Tuesday night, the Ball State Cardinals faces the Miami (Ohio) RedHawks. The Cardinals are 4-7, while the RedHawks are 5-6.

The Cardinals are 3-3 on the road this season. The RedHawks are 2-3 at Yager Stadium. The game will be broadcasted on ESPN3 at 7 pm.

Ball State has won the past three games in this series. Miami hasn’t won against Ball State since Aug. 30, 2007 when they won 14-13.

The two teams haven’t played since Nov. 29, 2013 when Ball State won 55-14.

In the past 10 games in this series, each team has won five games. Besides the past three for the Cardinals, they also won 20-17 on Oct. 28, 2006 and 15-10 on Oct. 7, 2000.

The RedHawks won in 2007, as well as 49-3 on Oct. 18, 2003 and 28-20 on Sept. 29, 2001. They also won the 1997 and 1998 games, as well.

Ball State has a four game losing streak. They haven’t won since a 31-21 win over the Buffalo Bulls on Oct. 15.

Miami (Ohio) has won their past five games. They haven’t lost since losing 35-18 to the Akron Zips on Oct. 8.

The Cardinals are scoring 27.6 points. The RedHawks are scoring 23.6.

Ball State is averaging 450.5 yards per game. They’re giving up 472.8 yards.

Miami (Ohio) is averaging 354.1 yards per game. They’re giving up 347.3 yards.

Riley Neal leads the Cardinals attack with 2,353 yards. He has 12 touchdowns and 11 interceptions.

James Gilbert has 1,215 rushing yards and 12 touchdowns. KeVonn Mabon has 850 receiving yards and two touchdowns.

Billy Bahl leads the RedHawks attack with 1,154 yards. He has eight touchdowns and four interceptions.

Alonzo Smith has 605 rushing yards and three touchdowns. James Gardner has 596 receiving yards and five touchdowns.
