Bears beat Spartans in the Bahamas

The #20 Baylor Bears defeated #24 Michigan State Spartans, 73-58, on Thanksgiving Day.

The Bears advance in the Battle 4 Atlantis tournament at Imperial Arena on Paradise Island, Bahamas. The Spartans move to the loser’s bracket.

Johnathan Motley led the Bears with 26 points. Jo Lila-Acuil Jr. had 14, while fellow starters Ishmail Wainwright, Manu Lecomte and Al Freeman combined for 24 points.

Baylor had just nine bench points. Terry Maston had seven points, while Wendell Mitchell had two points.

Miles Bridges was the only Spartans players with double digits as he had 15 points. Matt McQuad had eight while starters Lourawls Nairn Jr., Kenny Goins and Eron Harris combined for 12 points.

Michigan State had 23 bench points. Nick Ward led these players with seven points.
