On Friday afternoon, the #20 Houston Cougars face the Memphis Tigers. The Cougars are 9-2, while the Tigers are 7-4.

The Cougars are 2-2 on the road this season. The Tigers are 4-2 at Liberty Bowl Memorial Stadium. This game will be broadcasted live on ABC at noon.

Houston has won the past six games in this series. Memphis fans have to go back to Oct. 15, 2005 when they won 35-20.

In the past 10 games in this series, the Cougars have won seven times. The Tigers won three straight from Oct. 18, 2003 through Oct. 15, 2005.

The Cougars have won three straight games. Houston hasn’t lost since being beat by the SMU Mustangs 38-16 on Oct. 22.

The Tigers won last week’s game with a 34-7 win over the Cincinnati Bearcats. Memphis hasn’t lost since a 49-42 loss to the USF Bulls on Nov. 12.

The Cougars are scoring 37.5 points. The Tigers are scoring 38.7.

Houston is averaging 444.2 yards per game. They’re giving up 304.1 yards.

Memphis is averaging 452.9 yards per contest. They’re giving up 426.2.

Greg Ward Jr. leads the Cougars with 2,841 yards. He has 18 touchdowns and eight interceptions.

Ward Jr. also leads the team in rushing with 453 yards and nine touchdowns. Linell Bonner has 841 receiving yards and two touchdowns.

Riley Ferguson leads the Tigers with 2,917 yards. He has 24 touchdowns and nine interceptions.

Doroland Dorceus has 701 rushing yards and eight touchdowns. Anthony Miller has 1,114 receiving yards and nine touchdowns.
