Preview: Minnesota @ Detroit

On Thursday afternoon, the Minnesota Vikings face the Detroit Lions. Both teams are 6-4.

The Vikings are 2-3 on the road. The Lions are 4-1 at Ford Field.

Detroit beat Minnesota earlier this season. The Lions needed overtime to beat the Vikings 22-16 at U.S. Bank Stadium.

Prior to this year, the Vikings won both games in 2015. Their last win prior to this year was on Dec. 14, 2014 when they won 16-14.

In the past 10 games in the series, each team has split five games. The Lions won Dec. 11, 2011 (34-28); Sept. 8, 2013 (34-24); Oct. 12, 2014 (17-3), Dec. 2014 and earlier this year.

The Vikings won Sept. 30, 2012 (20-13); Nov. 11, 2012 (34-24); Dec. 29, 2013 (14-13) and both 2015 games.

Minnesota beat the Arizona Cardinals 30-24 on Nov. 20. They lost to the Washington Redskins 26-20 on Nov. 13.

Detroit has won two in a row. They haven’t lost since being beat 20-13 by the Houston Texans on Oct. 30.
