Preview: Northern Illinois @ Kent State

On Friday afternoon, the Northern Illinois Huskies face the Kent State Golden Flashes. The Huskies are 4-7, while the Golden Flashes are 3-8.

The Huskies are 2-3 on the road. The Golden Flashes are 1-4 at Dix Stadium. The game will be played at noon on CBS Sports Network.

Northern Illinois has won the past eight games in this series. Kent State hasn’t won since Oct. 13, 2001 when the Golden Flashes won 44-34.

The Huskies also won the game on Oct. 23, 1999 when they won 50-7.

Northern Illinois won their last game with the Eastern Michigan Eagles on Nov. 16, 31-24. They haven’t lost since Nov. 9 when they lost 31-24 to the Toledo Rockets.

Kent State has lost their past two games. They haven’t won a game since Oct. 29 when they beat the Central Michigan Chippewas 27-24.

The Huskies are scoring 30.5 points, while the Golden Flashes are averaging 20.5.

Northern Illinois is averaging 462.9 yards per game. They’re giving up 457 yards.

Kent State is averaging 301.5 yards per contest. They’re giving up 378.6 yards.

Anthony Maddie leads the Huskies with 1,213 yards. He has eight touchdowns and five interceptions.

Joel Bouagnon has 752 rushing yards and six touchdowns. Kenny Golladay has 1,065 yards and eight touchdowns.

Nick Holley has 868 passing yards. He has four touchdowns and eight interceptions.

Holley also leads the team with 920 rushing yards and 10 touchdowns. Justin Rankin has 313 receiving yards and a touchdown.
