By Anthony Caruso III | Publisher Florida Atlantic is the latest college football team to make a coaching change. They have dismissed head coach Charlie Partridge. He was 9-27 in three seasons at the school. He had three straight 3-9 seasons. In Conference USA, they went 7-17 over this span. This was his first head coaching job. Prior to coming to the State of Florida for the FAU job, he spent several years on the coaching staff of Bret Bielema. In 2013, the two were together in his first season with the Arkansas Razorbacks. Then the two were on the same staff in Wisconsin from 2008-2012. He could rejoin the Razorbacks staff, even though Bielema said he wasn’t going to make any changes to his current coaching staff. If he goes to Arkansas or another school, his buyout goes to $200,000. He has more than $1 million left on his deal. According to Fox Sports’ Bruce Feldman, some possible names for this job include former Miami (Fla.) Hurricanes head coach Randy Shannon, Florida defensive coordinator Geoff Collins, Kentucky offensive coordinator Eddie Gran and Michigan passing game coordinator Jedd Fisch.
