Preview: Minnesota @ Dallas

On Thursday night, the Dallas Cowboys face the Minnesota Vikings. The Cowboys are 10-1, while the Vikings are 6-5.

The Cowboys are 5-0 on the road this season. The Vikings are 4-1 at U.S. Bank Stadium.

On Wednesday night, Vikings head coach Mike Zimmer had emergency eye surgery. The team has not announced if he’ll be able to coach this game.

If Zimmer is not able to coach, the team may turn to interim offensive coordinator Pat Shurmur to be the interim head coach for this game.

The Vikings won last year’s preseason game 28-14. Prior to that, the Cowboys won back-to-back games.

Minnesota hasn’t defeated Dallas in a regular season game since Oct. 17, 2010 when they won 24-21.

In the past 10 games in this series, the Cowboys won five games, while the Vikings won four games. There was also a 10-10 preseason tie on Aug. 31, 2006 in Dallas.

Besides the 2015 and 2010 wins by the Vikings, Minnesota also won on Jan. 17, 2010 when they won 34-3 in a playoff game. They also won 23-14 on Aug. 30, 2007.

The Cowboys come into this game with a 10 game win streak. They haven’t lost since Sept. 11 when they lost 20-19 to the New York Giants.

The Vikings lost to the Detroit Lions 16-13 on Thanksgiving Day. Sam Bradford threw an interception that would set up the Lions with a game-winning Matt Prater field goal.

Minnesota last won a game on Nov. 20 when they defeated the Arizona Cardinals 30-24. It was their first win since winning five straight to begin the season.

The Cowboys are scoring 28.7 points per game, while the Vikings are scoring 19.8.

Dallas is averaging 415.7 yards per game. They’re giving up 370.7 yards.

Minnesota is averaging 312.1 yards per contest. They’re giving up 327 yards.

Das Prescott leads the Cowboys attack with 2,835 yards. He has thrown 18 touchdowns and two interceptions.

Ezekiel Elliott has 1,199 rushing yards and 11 touchdowns. Cole Beasley has 647 receiving yards and five touchdowns.

Sam Bradford leads the Vikings attack with 2,415 yards. He has thrown 12 touchdowns and three interceptions.

Jerick McKinnon has 316 rushing yards and a touchdown. Stefon Diggs has 747 receiving yards and two touchdowns.
