Preview: #8 Colorado @ #4 Washington

On Friday night, #8 Colorado Buffaloes and #4 Washington Huskies face each other. The Buffs are 10-2, while the Huskies are 11-1.

This is the first neutral site game for both teams. Colorado is 3-2 on the road, while Washington is 5-0.

The Pac-12 Conference Championship game will take place at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, Calif. This game will be broadcasted live on Fox at 9 pm EST.

This is the first-time each time has appeared in this game since it started during the 2011 season. The Huskies shared the conference championship, also known as the Pac-10 Conference, in 1992 and 1995.

They won it outright in 1991 when they went on to when a share of the 1991 National Championship. The Miami Hurricanes won the Associated Press National Championship, while the Huskies won the Coaches Poll.

Colorado has never won the conference championship. They haven’t been this good since they went 10-3 under Gary Barnett in 2001.

Washington has won six straight games in this series. Colorado hasn’t won against their conference rival since Dec. 30, 1996 when they won 33-21.

These two teams are facing each other for the first-time since Nov. 1, 2014. Washington won 38-23 in this game.

In the past 10 games in this series, the Huskies won seven times. Besides the 1996 win, Colorado also won 20-14 on Sept. 29, 1990 and 45-28 on Sept. 30, 1989.

The Buffs come into this game with a six game win streak. They haven’t lost since Oct. 8 when they lost 21-17 to the USC Trojans.

The Huskies have a two game win streak. They also lost to the Trojans for their last loss when they lost 26-13 on Nov. 12.
