The #7 Penn State Nittany Lions are the Big Ten Conference Championship. They defeated the #6 Wisconsin Badgers, 38-31, on Saturday night at Lucas Oil Stadium.
It’s the Nittany Lions first outright Big Ten Conference championship since 1994. James Franklin also has his team back to prominence.

He’s had to guide the team through part of NCAA sanctions that were leveled against the school following the Jerry Sandusky scandal. Former head coach Bill O’Brien helped with that.

Now the only question left following this win is if they’ve done enough to make it into the Top 4 of the College Football Playoff. That will be announced on Sunday.
With the win, the Nittany Lions improved to 11-2 overall. The Badgers fell to 10-3.
Nittany Lions quarterback Trace McSorley went 22 of 31 for 384 yards. He had four touchdown passes.
Saquon Barkley had 19 carries for 83 yards and one touchdown. Saeed Blacknall had six receptions for 155 yards and two touchdowns.
Badgers quarterback Bart Houston went 16 of 21 for 174 yards.
Corey Clement had 21 carries for 164 yards and one touchdown. Jazz Peavy had four receptions for 53 yards.
Penn State outscored Wisconsin 24-3 in the second half. McSorley hit Blacknall for a 70-yard touchdown reception.
Barkley also scored on a one-yard rushing touchdown. McSorley also hit Barkley for an 18-yard touchdown reception.
Tyler Davis also made a 24-yard field goal.
Badgers’ Andrew Endicott made a 23-yard field goal.

Wisconsin led 28-14. Austin Ramesh scored on a one-yard rushing touchdown. Clement also scored on a 67-yard rushing touchdown.
Ryan Connelly scored on a 12-yard fumble return for a touchdown. Dare Ogunbowale scored on a seven-yard rushing touchdown.
Penn State’s McSorley hit Mike Gesicki for a 33-yard touchdown reception. McSorley also hit Blacknall for a 40-yard touchdown reception.
