The Temple Owls are the American Athletic Conference Champions. They defeated the Navy Midshipmen, 34-10, on Saturday afternoon at Navy-Marine Corps Stadium.

The Owls get revenge over their loss last year in the same event as they lost to the Houston Cougars then. It’s the second straight season with 10 wins and they currently have a seven-game win streak after going 3-3 in their first six games.

Temple’s defense came up big as they stopped the Midshipmen to just 10 points. They also had their quarterback Will Worth leave the game. Navy had been averaging more than 50 points per game.

Philip Walker had two passing touchdowns, while Ryquell Armstead and Jahad Thomas also had a rushing touchdown each.

Aaron Boumerhi also made two field goals.

Zach Abey had a one-yard rushing touchdown for the Midshipmen. Bennett Moehring also made a 23-yard field goal.
