By Anthony Caruso III | Publisher The Jacksonville Jaguars could be turning their team over to a former NFL head coach. Owner Shad Khan is reportedly talking to Tom Coughlin. Khan is considering Coughlin for a front office role. If he gets the job, Coughlin would be the Jaguars’ Executive Vice President-Football Operations. Coughlin has never held a front-office role with a team before. But should he get this role, this would be a first for him. An official decision could be made soon. Or in the weeks ahead. If he accepts the role if offered, he will have to decide what to do with the football team. The team is currently struggling. This news comes out before the Jaguars’ game with the Denver Broncos. The team is currently 2-9. The Jaguars have lost six straight games. Pundits have already begun speculating that the team will move on from head coach Gus Bradley in the off-season due to the team’s struggles. Jacksonville has not won a game since October 16th. The team defeated the Chicago Bears 17-16 at Soldier Field in Chicago, Illinois. Outside of Bradley, Coughlin would have to make the best roster decisions that could impact the team for years to come. He will have to evaluate the roster in the off-season and then start to make the transactions in March when the new league year starts. Coughlin could be running a franchise that has not had a winning season since the 2007 season. The Jaguars went 11-5 that season. Since then, they’ve gone 51-93.
