Tennessee Titans quarterback Marcus Mariota suffered a fractured fibula on Saturday. He was injured against the Jacksonville Jaguars.

With Mariota injured, the Titans’ playoff chances took a dramatic hit. He’s expected to miss next weekend and possibly their playoffs, if they make it that far.

Following the game, Titans head coach Mike Mularkey said Mariota had a serious injury.

“Marcus has a fractured fibula. Obviously, he is out,” Mularkey said.

Cassel will get the start against the Houston Texans next week.

According to Google, it would depend on the severity of the injury to determine how long he will be sidelined. Google is saying that this could be a several-week to a several-month recovery time.

Google says that if it is a minor fracture he could heal in about six weeks. In most cases, it would take several months to heal. However, if he needs surgery, he will be looking at three-to-six months to heal.
