Buss is the daughter of long-time Lakers owner Jerry Buss. He is the man, who is credited with bringing Jackson to Los Angeles in 1999.

In his first three years with the team, they won three championships with Shaquille O’Neal and Kobe Bryant. Years later, he won two additional rings with Bryant leading the way.

Jackson took over as the Knicks president in 2014. There was speculation that when his option came up in 2017 that he would leave the Knicks and return to the Lakers. Now, that will be tricky, as they’re no longer together.
