Serena Williams is off the market, as she’s engaged to 33-year-old Alexis Ohanian. He’s the co-founder of the popular website, Reddit, and the company’s executive chairman.

The couple announced that they’re engaged on his platform. Williams said in a post that he popped the question in a surprise trip to Rome, as you can see below:

I came home

A little late

Someone had a bag packed for me

And a carriage awaited

Destination: Rome

To escort me to my very own “charming”

Back to where our stars first collided

And now it was full circle

At the same table we first met by chance

This time he made it not by chance

But by choice

Down on one knee

He said 4 words

And

r/isaidyes

That’s apparently where they first met each other. He took her to the exact same table that they first talked, before getting down on one knee.

Williams, the tennis star, said yes.

The 35-year-old is the most popular women’s tennis player with $81 million in career earnings. That’s first all-time.

She has a 775-129 career record and has 71 WTA titles. As of Sept. 2016, she’s the second ranked tennis player in the world.

Ohanian was born in Brooklyn, New York, but grew up in the suburbs of Baltimore, Maryland. He graduated the University of Virginia.

Besides being a part of Reddit, which is believed to be valued at $500 million, he also hosts a show called Small Empires, about tech startups. He also became a best-selling author in 2013 when he published “Without Their Permission.”
