Colts’ Robert Mathis retiring?

It sounds like Indianapolis Colts defensive end and outside linebacker Robert Mathis is retiring. Mathis posted a video on Instagram saying “Love Y’all”

The 35-year-old has 12 tackles and 4.0 sacks this season in 13 games, including 11 starts. He had two pass deflections and a fumble recovery — which he returned for a 14 yard touchdown.

He’s in the final year of a four-year, $36 million deal he signed with the Colts prior to the 2012 season. He made $5 million this season.

Mathis has spent his entire career with the Colts since the 2003 season. In his career, he has appeared in a 191 games, including a 120 games.

He has 394 tackles, 122.0 sacks, an interception with 19 pass deflections. He also has 53 forces fumbles and 16 fumble recoveries — including three returned for touchdowns.
